Description: A trip down Patagonia
from Bariloche to Ushuaia. Cycling through the most spectacular
places in Argentina and Chile. With this tour you can cover the
diverse sceneries of one of the most enchanting places in the world.
With you mountain bike the conection with nature is straight forward
and the feeling is unique!
Places: Nahuel Huapi National
park Los Alerces Nat. park. Esquel and Trevelin. Patagonian desert
(Route 40) and the incredible steppe.Lake Cardiel. Cave painting
Cueva de las Manos, El Chalten and Laguna del Desierto. El Calafate
and the "Los Glaciares"National Park (Glacier Perito Moreno), Torres
del Paine and Puerto Natales (Chile). We cycle along the Magallanes
strait and cross at "Primera Angostura". Tierra del Fuego: Rio Grande
and Tolhuin. Lake Fagnano and Escondido. Ushuaia, Glacier Lemartine,
La Pataia Bay.
Difficulty: Aprox. 2400 km of
the total 2700kms are on bicycle. Some parts will be done with our
support vehicle. The distance has been divded into 21 days of cycling,
with 4 to 5 days for walks and rest. The daily biking rate is aproxx.

Distance: 1.075 km (more than half on paved road).
Description:
From Glacier Perito Moreno to the southermost part of the american
continent we cross the Magallanes straitght and enter the fantastic
land of Tierra del Fuego where the famous explorer Darwin marvelled
at the nature that surrounds what is nowadays the city of Ushuaia
. Known as the "city at the end of the world".
Places:
El Calafate and the "Los Glaciares"National Park (Glacier
Perito Moreno), Torres del Paine and Puerto Natales (Chile).
We cycle along the Magallanes strait and cross at "Primera Angostura".
Tierra del Fuego: Rio Grande and Tolhuin. Lake Fagnano and Escondido.
Ushuaia, Glacier Lemartine, La Pataia Bay.
Difficulty: The 1075 km are
divided into 9 days of cycling, with 1 day to rest. (the day tours
in Ushuaia are not taken into account).Our normal rate is about
115 km per day at 17km/h with short breaks and a long break for
lunch . We ride for aproximately 5hrs 30m. Almost half of the tour
is on paved road.

16th to 30th of November 2010
Distance: 1.260 km
Description: An adventure that
goes right into the heart of Patagonia. Connecting two oceans, crossing
the Andes and riding through Patagonia along the Somuncurá plateau.
We follow off the beaten track roads and paths while discovering
fantastic views and also meeting the local population
Places: Pacific ocean, Puerto
Montt (Chile), Llanquihue lake, ascent to Osorno volcano, hot springs
resort Aguas Calientes, crossing the Andes Puyehue pass (1.300mt),
Penninsula Quetrihue (arrayanes forest), Villa La Angostura, Bariloche,
Maquinchao, Somuncurá plateau, Telsen, Puerto Madryn Atlantic Ocean.
Difficulty: Medium to high.
Daily 80 Km rides of 4 to 5 hrs. Divided in two sections ( morning
- afternoon) . Short stops for water and snacks have been taken
into consideration. The average speed is aprox. 22 Km./h . The wind
blows from the west and we can almost guarantee that it will not
be a problem.

Distance: 450 km.
Description: Crossing the Andes
from the Pacific ocean to lake Nahuel Huapi. Riding through indigenous
forests, patagonian lakes and mountains, climbing up the Osorno
volcano with our bikes.
Places: Bariloche and surrounding
areas. Pto. Montt (Chile). Lake Llanquihue. Volcáno Osorno. Hot
springs. Puyehue Pass (1350m). Argentina: Villa la Angostura. Arrayan
forest (Quetrihue Peninsula)..
Difficulty: biking days last
aprox. 4 hrs and are split in two legs, morning and afternoon. Normal
speed is aprox. 17km/h. Those who might feel tired can use the support
vehicle.
