Description: Discover the scenery
of Salta. The province that calls itself " la linda" (the beautiful
one). From its Yunga forests we climb up to "Abra del Acay" (4895msnm),
one of the highest mountain passes of the continent. At the
end we follow the famous "Tren de las nubes" (the cloud train )
and descend 150 km.
Places: Cuesta del Obispo, P.N.
Los Cardones, Cachi, Valles Calchaquíes, La Poma, Abra de Acay (4895
above sea level). S.A.de los Cobres, Tastil, Quebrada del Toro,
Salta .
Difficulty: Normally 70 km per
day with frequent stops to rest and enjoy the view. We recommend
that you be prepared for a daily 5 hour ride.

Duration: 8 days, 6 biking (from
Jujuy)
Distance: 285 km (120 km
on paved roads).
Description: On this tour we
cross the Tropic of Capricorn and experience more than the
" seven colors " of the Quebrada valley. Following off the beaten
track roads and paths we will discover other cultures and ancient
pre-Columbian towns.
Places: Ciudad de Jujuy, Quebrada
de Humahuaca, Coctaca (pre-Columbian ruins), Tilcara, Purmamarca,
Maimará, Salinas Grandes, Tumbaya, lagoon de Yala, Abra de
Potrerrillos (4200m above sea level), Reyes hot springs.
Difficulty: We mountain bike
285 km, 120 km of this on paved road. 70 % is downhill. Approximately
60 km are on trails and secondary gravel roads. There is no more
than 3 hs cycling per day.
